SUNDAY CATCH UP
As I curl up with some coffee to write this (it’s Saturday currently) I can literally hear the birds chirping and the sun is SHINING. It was not like this over the last week, though. It was raining, crazy windy, and I threw out my back, so it was a pretty lackluster week overall. My back seems to have turned a corner now, and I hope that next time I decide to quite literally skip through my apartment, I wear shoes with better grip (I slipped and was doomed).
Being bed bound for a few days, I finalized some upcoming travel! We’re exploring familiar and new-to-us areas of New Jersey, staycationing down the shore, venturing to Pennsylvania, going on a Texas sojourn, heading to the Hamptons and journeying to Lake George. I feel so grateful that vaccines have made travel feasible again, and that we’re able to help revitalize local economies that benefit from tourism. I hope to share a lot of my travels, tips and trips here which will be so fun.
For a delightful end to the week, we visited a local peony farm, Peony’s Envy, with Matthew and Jacqueline. It was so beautiful! Carly and I keep talking about how we wanted to go since we missed last summer’s batch due to COVID. I have been there a handful of times over the years and each season is more beautiful than the last. If you are in New Jersey, or contemplating a weekend visit, Peony’s Envy is a must!
