J.Crew’s coveted Sophie Sweater Blazer has become a cult classic for good reason. I wear the factory sweater blazers and I love their fit, so I wasn’t in a huge rush to try the Sophie. But, this year I saw the herringbone pattern and fell in love. So, I knew it was time to see what all the fuss is about! Plus, through the end of today it is 50% off with code “FRIDAY”!
Extended sizes can be tricky, and I find that with J.Crew, the plus pieces either work or they don’t. But when they work, THEY. WORK. SO. WELL! Their Sophie sweater blazer is no exception, the hype is definitely real. I love it! It is on the roomy side, and I am in-between sizes at J.Crew, so I sized down and it was perfect.
The fit of the sweater blazer is really fabulous. The length provides coverage and the arms/shoulders are well proportioned. My favorite ways to wear it are with jeans or leggings. As far as the herringbone (they call it chevron), it’s totally neutral and goes with everything, even stripes and prints. I can safely say this sweater blazer is a curvy win!
