Easy Wear Now, Wear Later Look for Curves

It’s September! I am so happy. I think the Fall will bring a fresh chapter to quarantine. Being inside is a lot easier when it’s cozy, and Fall brings all the cozy! September is a tricky month temperature wise. Depending on where you are, it can be chilly enough to start wearing sweaters — yay! Or, not quite yet. So, having easy wear now, wear later combos are great for this time of year. I love a white button down and cardigan, because they can be worn apart or together for Fall, and still look intentional and effortless. They are the perfect combo for wear now, wear later and are both flattering on curves. For my base pieces, I wore medium wash denim and leopard loafers.

For wear now, I styled a curve-friendly white button down with denim and loafers for an easy everyday look. Still feels breezy for current temps, but with Fall vibes. I gravitate towards a good white button down because the v-neck and collar are very flattering on necklines, especially large chests, too. I also appreciate that this button down doesn’t gape, a major win. It runs true to size and is a lighter material than most shirts, which I prefer for layering. The sleeves have buttons if you want to roll and keep your cuffs in place! Perfect for this transitional season. It’s a nice length where you can leave it un-tucked and still look tidy yet easy going. 

For the “wear later” portion, I added a classic knit cardigan and, later on, a fall hat. The cardigan has to be my favorite fall-sweater-find so far! The fit is also true to size and it feels like a lightweight layer, but with the look of a chic grandpa cardigan. The cream color is so lovely and is easily worn year-round. A nice buttoned cardigan is great for any curvy woman, because the buttons and v-neck nicely flow with our curves. I also find them elongating! You get that chunky sweater feel, without extra bulk. So there you have it, an easy wear now, wear later combination that is easy and classic as we head into Fall!
