Polo sweatshirt in regular, polo sweatshirt in plus, denim (sizes 24-27, c/o), sandals
I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I will ever tire of the universal love of loungewear that came to fruition over the past year! I really appreciate how it showed us that we deserve to put just as much intention into our sweats as we do our sweaters. Something I’m equally as over the moon about recently, is that polos are experiencing a resurgence. Truth be told, I never really felt like they went “out” of style, but they are definitely more on trend now than they have been in recent years. You know that I fell hard and fast for the Tuckernuck sweater polo because of it’s versatility, simplicity and little nod to preppy style. So, needless to say, when I saw this sweatshirt polo, I felt like all my quarantine loungewear, and penchant for practicality, dreams had come true. Honestly, I just can’t stop wearing it, and wearing it in all the ways.
This sweatshirt polo feels old school, classic, and is just so well made. Best part of all? It comes in regular, plus and a handful of colors. The structure alone feels like it could stand the test of time. The sweatshirt is a cotton blend to give it a little stretch, but it for sure feels like 100% cotton. It’s a substantial weight, but the open neckline and half-zip make it perfect for transitioning into warmer temperatures. You can loosen it up and let more air in as you please. I have a larger neck, so sometimes sweatshirts and pullovers can feel constricting, and I love that I don’t worry about that here. I can see myself throwing this on by the pool over a one piece in the shade! Guys, I just feel really strongly about it.
I wear mine with jeans, leggings, workout shorts, tennis skirts and even over dresses. It’s become one of my favorite things that I’ve gotten in a long time. Mainly because it checks every box: it’s practical, comfortable, well made, fits right, and is versatile. I find myself reaching for it when I don’t really know what to wear, and when I know exactly what I do want to wear! I would say it definitely runs true to size. It’s appropriately fitted in the shoulders and arms, but has room in the midsection. I got the 1x here and liked how that extra room allowed me to throw it in the dryer without stress. Most of all, this piece feels intentional, allows me to be comfortable, and speaks to classic style. I think I will look back on this in five years and love it just as much then as I do now.
