Hey guys! Elsa here. Greetings from Charleston! I am currently on a mini vacation with my mom, and we are having *the* best time. I am planning on doing a recap of my trip very soon, and while this is not my first rodeo in the Holy City, every time I return I discover new things and my love grows deeper!
When I was packing for this trip, I knew I would want to be festive (after all it is November lol) and tartan immediately came to mind. Usually, I am a black watch girl through and through. But lately, red tartan has been giving me all the feels. So, I was super excited when I saw that Vineyard Vines had many plaid and tartan options available this season. Did you know Vineyard Vines now has extended sizes? And did you know, they are really, really good?
Vineyard Vines carries sizes xs and 00 through 3x and 24, giving everyone the option to enjoy their coveted preppy mainstays! When I tried VV’s extended sizes for the first time, I was over the moon. Everything from the styles to the fit were SPOT. ON. So, when it came time to pick the perfect plaids for my southern getaway, I knew who to call. For my various escapades here in Charleston, I styled three Vineyard Vines tartan looks that will carry me through the holiday season. All available in regular and extended sizes!
Greenwich Tartan Dress c/o, Glitter Mary Janes
First up is this adorable Greenwich Tartan Dress with ruffle sleeves. It is a tailored fit, but runs true to size. I love how the ruffles add a little fun to a typically polished shift silhouette. The v-neck nicely breaks things up a bit, and I have a feeling this will be my holly jolly uniform this Christmas.
Merry Plaid Postage Skirt c/o, Tissue Turtleneck, Leopard Flats
I also love this Merry Plaid Fringe Postage Stamp Skirt. Usually, I am a midi-skirt person, but this just hits in all the right places, making me feel comfortable and confident. It is not quite mini and not quite knee length, but it is a whole lot of perfect.
Finally, this Merry Plaid Button Down is going to be my go-to item this season. It is so versatile, whether I wear it with denim, a leather skirt, or dress pants, I know it is going to be effortless. My favorite part is, I don’t get any gaping that can sometimes happen with button downs. Hello dream shirt.
Most importantly, I feel really great in these pieces and it makes me so happy to see more holiday options available for everyone. Options that are quality pieces and cute to boot! A big thank you to Vineyard Vines for partnering on this post.
All opinions stated are my own. Thank you, Vineyard Vines for partnering on this post!
Love each and every look- but the tartan VV dress is my favorite I think! You have made my mind up- Im ordering!
It’s perfect for the holiday season!! I’m so glad you like it!!
I have been having major heart eyes for that VV plaid skirt since I saw it! I LOVE how you styled it up with cheetah flats!! I need this in my life, ahah! Have a great rest of your trip, Elsa! 🙂
