SUNDAY CATCH UP
Last week, I took time off and skipped Sunday Coffee. I really missed pulling it together! I had an immediate family member face a health emergency (non-covid). So, I focused on my family and put pause on anything that I was able to. A reminder that It’s okay to step back and do what you need to for your own mental health and to support those around you. Things are much better now, my family member is okay, and I want to thank everyone for their support and messages!
I have been busy planning for the holiday season, which I love. It may seem early, but this year things will take a little longer to both ship and produce with the pandemic. I also feel like if it makes you happy to put up decor early, go for it! I’ll be decorating early November. We got a new tree this year, I found it on Joss and Main, and it’s the perfect size for our apartment. The holidays always make me want to bake, I love the smell of muffins in the morning and snickerdoodles in the afternoon. I am going to share some of my sweet recipes soon. As for cooking, that is Andrew’s department! I enjoy cooking, but I much prefer entertaining and preparing cheese boards, appetizers, baking and things along those lines. Given this season there will be little of that, we are going to have some date nights at home in the spirit of holiday parties. I would love to know how you do either date nights or nights with a friend at home, it is so fun to hear everyone’s take.

Sunday coffee with Sunday sermon. In these challenging times of covid luckily there is virtual church where I can meditate, pray, sing out loud with my fellow congregants and start my day, my week in a positive way.
As for holiday decorating and entertaining this year, I like your ideas of how to celebrate in small ways. And it’s never too early to decorate! 🎄
