Sunday Catch-up
What a week it was! After chatting with many of you, it’s clear we all feel a little tired lately. I went on a few walks this week to break up the quarantine brain fog and it was so needed. It gave me energy to tackle some projects around our apartment. So, I painted our home office! It was a really fun project that was affordable and high impact. I used Clare Paint and love the color we chose! I can’t wait to share more on this soon.
My best friend, Heather, came over for dinner and it emphasized how important friendships are for our mental health, especially now. A friendship that is equally supportive, happy, and honest is all you can ask for, and I am so grateful for her. If you aren’t able to safely socialize with a friend, schedule a virtual time to catch up, even if it’s just a phone call. I promise it will do wonders!
Sunday Shopping
LULU LEMON SIZES 16, 18 and 20: Lulu Lemon added a few sizes! I do not want to use the term size-inclusive, because they do not yet carry true plus. But, I think progress is progress and I am so excited to give these styles a try! Back in the day, their Align leggings were my everything.
VINCE EXTENDED SIZES FOR FALL: OH. MY. GOD. VINCE HAS EXTENDED THEIR SIZES! Years ago, I would invest in a Vince piece or two annually. The quality is truly unparalleled and the designs are modern yet timeless. I am loving every single thing in the assortment. Up to a 24 and a 3x.
40% OFF J.CREW NEW ARRIVALS: Have you seen J.Crew’s newest arrivals? They are running a promo for 40% off through the end of Sunday. I am loving their color palette and prints this season, classic with a twist! So many good things up to 3x.
URBAN GARDEN PRINTS 20% OFF THIS WEEKEND: Today on stories I shared the new prints Urban Garden was kind enough to send over. The quality of their pieces is superior to anything I’ve found in this price range. Through the end of Sunday, they are offering 20% off with code “WOWWALLS”
WILLIAMS SONOMA CHRISTMAS PREVIEW: Williams Sonoma has their Christmas Preview assortment up. So many classic items, especially their tartan pieces. A favorite of mine is their bay leaf square wreath with a tartan bow. I usually start decorating for Christmas the second week of November, so I start to plan my decor around now!
Here are a few things I’m eyeing:
Sunday Reading & Watching
9 FUN GAMES YOU CAN PLAY AT HOME WITH JUST TWO PEOPLE: The games included in this roundup look fantastic and incredibly practical! Andrew and I enjoy games when we have friends over. But, we don’t have a ton that are suitable for just us two. I snagged a few on this list that will come in handy when it starts to get cold outside!
FOOD NETWORK VIRTUAL LIVE COOKING CLASS SCHEDULE: This is so cool! You can take a live cooking class with The Food Network’s chefs. To watch the classes, you need to be a Food Network member, which includes their app, for $5 a month. You get access to a ton of classes, recipes and meal planning tools, too, which seem practical as most of us dine now at home three meals a day.
THE BEST MOVIES ON AMAZON PRIME RIGHT NOW: I recently signed up for the New York Times Watching Newsletter, which sends lists of the best shows and movies on streaming networks. Their selections for Amazon Prime include classics and new films alike. They do the deep diving for you, and there are so many good ones like Election with Reese Witherspoon, the classic It’s a Wonderful Life, and Alfred Hitchcock’s To Catch a Thief.
HOW TO DECORATE A CHRISTMAS TREE WITH PREPFORD WIFE: I have to say when I saw this article on House Beautiful, I was ecstatic! I know Victoria through blogging and Hadley and I met through a good friend. Victoria walks you through how to decorate a tree and it is so swoon-worthy! Some great tips in here as well.
TRACKING ABSENTEE VOTES IN THE 2020 ELECTION: The New York Times has an absentee vote tracker for the 2020 election that gets updated in real time. You can view overall stats and stats by state. I think it’s a good way to stay informed.
Can you tell me where you got the lovely pajamas?
