This Morning: When I know I don’t want to hit snooze on my alarm, I’ll set my phone on the other side of the room. I did that today and woke up when I planned to, and I have to say, it feels great! I read a new devotional over a hot cup of coffee. These little blurb posts take about 20 minutes to write (I have a template saved), and feels like a nice little journal exercise that always sparks joy, especially this morning. About to head out on a little walk around the green!
Today’s outfit: Dress from Victoria Dunn (in m/xl, this style runs generously)
Today’s to-do: How is it already Thursday?! I have work from 8-6, I tidied up our home office yesterday, so it feels like a nice little oasis now. My closet is getting a little crazy from being home less, so this evening I plan to work on it a little bit. Tonight, I am cooking us a lighter take on chicken parm! If it’s good, I’ll let you know.
Today’s intention: Plan but be present. Sometimes, I think as a society, we can make living in the present and setting goals/planning for the future very black and white. The truth is, you can fully live in the present while also simultaneously setting goals for yourself and your future. I used to be someone who lived in one or the other. I think a healthy balance is living for the here and now while also setting goals for our future that are subject to change, so long as they do not take away from what is in front of me today. I’ve caught myself toggling between the two lately, and I am the best and truest version of myself with a sprinkling of both.
