With Spring and Easter right around the corner, it could not be a better time for Sailor Sailor to announce they are extending their size range! Sailor Sailor is a small, women-owned business that has the most adorable collection of bright and livable dresses and tops. Previously, their size range went up to an XL. They have expanded their collection with the introduction of a 1x in their classic Marina Dress in 6 different patterns and color ways. I am so honored to collaborate with them for this launch, because with the addition of this size more women can be included and style their adorable collection. I know that this is not a full size expansion or full range of plus sizes, but I am so grateful for the important progress a small business is making for more inclusivity in the right direction. Sailor Sailor is paying attention and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them and size-inclusivity.
The dress itself is proportioned to perfection. Something that is super important to note is that Sailor Sailor really took the proportions and fit process to heart for their 1x. The darting on the back of the dress almost made me tear up because it is so thoughtfully done, that I felt seen and heard as a curvy woman! The dress runs true to size and the length is lovely, coverage is not a concern whatsoever. The shoulders are also very comfortable and as someone with broad shoulders and a larger chest, it’s amazing. Like I said, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Sailor Sailor and size-inclusivity!
The light blue gingham is perfection!
