Happy (almost) International Swimsuit Day! Not to be confused with National Bikini Day, Lands’ End’s International Swimsuit Day is all about everyone (women, men, and kids, too!) having the right style that works for them. For me, swimsuits are kind of like finding a great dress, the entire thing has to work, and when it does, it can make you feel amazing. For size-inclusive and well constructed swimwear that speaks to my classic style, I always turn to Lands’ End. Lands’ End’s International Swimsuit Day is being held tomorrow, Tuesday May 19th, but they are starting the celebration today with 60% off swimsuits and 40% off everything else! (use code SWIMPROMO through May 19th)
I am so excited because the Lands’ End x Draper James swimwear collaboration is included in the sale. They teamed up with Draper James to create one of the cutest, if not the cutest, size-inclusive, preppy swimwear lines for women that I’ve seen. Most of all, the fits are phenomenal. My seersucker suit (regular and plus) is from the Lands’ End in-house line, but it mixes and matches so well with everything in the Draper James collection. My gingham sarong, navy suit (regular and plus), and cute magnolia swim skirt (regular and plus) are all from the Draper James collab, and I love how interchangeable all the pieces are. The stripes! Gingham! Magnolias! Blues! They all mix and match so well, that I have so many combos for Summer just with these four pieces.
What makes their fit so good? The construction and coverage. The swimsuits are built with support and an understanding of the female figure. My seersucker suit has a built-in all around bra with cups, and a waistline that hits at the right spot. My navy suit has adjustable straps for the right fit and a soft cup bra. The material of both is great and the right thickness, that you won’t feel constricted or like things are too sheer. To top it off, they are both UPF 50+. As a general rule of thumb, I size up in all swimsuits, and find that rule applies well with Lands’ End, too. I usually wear an 16w or an 18r, and got an 18w in all pieces for a little extra room and comfort. Because when a suit is constructed well, comfortable, AND cute, confidence can soar, and we all deserve to be confident! As always, at the end of the day, beauty comes from within.
Thank you Lands’ End for sponsoring this post.
Love the swimsuits! Can’t wait for warmer swimming weather!
