My Easy, Everyday Makeup

Confession: I don’t own a lot of makeup, and I can fit my entire collection in my medium truffle case! That being said, I absolutely love makeup. I have been getting a lot of requests for what products I use, so I thought it would be great to put it all in one place. I use about 50% clean or paraben-free beauty, and use a variety of brands. I have combination skin ( oily and dry) and enlarged pores, so I try to use non-comedogenic (designed to not block pores) products where I can.

I left out products I use for holidays or special occasions, like my bold red lip- another time for that! Let’s get started. 

BASE  

HOURGLASS VEIL PRIMER: This primer is very silky, yet leaves an even matte finish. It helps prime my skin for my foundation, allowing my makeup to apply better. When I don’t use it, I feel like my skin looks thirsty and the foundation sits on my skin instead of setting into it. 

BEAUTYCOUNTER CONCEALER PEN: My sister-in-law, Nora, is a consultant and turned me onto this concealer pen. It is one of the few concealers that does not irritate my eyes when applying under them. Also great for spot coverage. If there is an unruly blemish, I will dab on and leave for 2 minutes, then pat in. 

NARS SHEER GLOW FOUNDATION (medium coverage): My GO-TO foundation! So, I used to wear a lot of full-coverage, matte foundation, but realized that a sheer option was best for me. This is non-comedogenic as well. Gives a nice glow without looking too dewy or oily.

FACE

RMS BEAUTY CREAM HIGHLIGHTER: I use “magic luminizer”. This has become my holy grail product! You can place little bits where you want a glow, instead of it being all over. I put this on my nose, cheeks and chin. I also use this on the inner corners of my eyes and it brightens things up, I love this. 

HOURGLASS AMBIENT STROBE BLUSH: I wear brilliant nude. I love this blush! I use it on my cheekbones, but also my forehead, and nose. It has a shimmer to it, but the way it reflects light is so lovely. For a matte blush, I use Laura Mercier. 

BOBBI BROWN SHEER FINISHING POWDER: I apply a light amount on my forehead, cheeks and chin. This leaves a nice matte look, which I think looks natural. Sometimes, I will just dab it on my cheeks and forehead!

EYES

BOBBI BROWN SMOKEY EYE MASCARA: This is my favorite mascara, I have worn it for years. You don’t get a smokey eye effect, but your lashes look long and smoldering. It goes on evenly and looks natural. 

RMS EYE POLISH: I wear the shade “solar” and find that it makes my blue eyes pop. I have always loved cream shadows, and these wear well and add a nice little shimmer for everyday. 

LIPS

FOLLAIN LIP BALM (everyday, no lipstick): I picked this up in-store and ended up loving it! I use this before I apply my foundation and again at the end of my routine. Makes lips look a little alive without lipstick. *Did not use in this photo.

BOBBI BROWN CRUSHED (everyday or evening): I wear colors red berry and soft pink beige. This is so nice because it wears like lipstick, but feels like a balm. My favorite lipstick. *I did not use this in this photo.

BEAUTYCOUNTER SHEER LIPSTICK (everyday): Nora also turned me on to this. I wear Lily in warmer months and Terra in colder months. Both are sheer, soft pinks. This lipstick is conditioning and really comfortable.
