It’s that time of year! It’s the Lilly After Party Sale, taking place on January 4th and 5th. If you want to get Lilly for any point between now and Summer, it’s really the time to do so. Truthfully, the savings are so significant and these sales only happen a couple times a year. The other part about the APS that is so great is… IT IS FUN! This is all meant to be fun, helpful, and a great time to snag what you love. This month I’m focusing on a capsule wardrobe (and included Lilly). However, I will still be shopping and covering the APS! I made this exception because this sale happens about twice a year and, in my opinion, is beyond worth it. Andrew and I will be spending 4-6+ weeks at his parents home in Vero Beach come February, so I will be getting some pieces myself for then onward. I also wanted to share some styles I already have and love!
Lilly goes up to an xxl in some pieces and an xl/16 overall. There are so many curve-friendly items and Lilly continues to expand their sizing. While they do not yet carry plus, I am a 16w and wear many pieces in xl and xxl comfortably. I am in-between an xl and xxl, and typically, xxl is my size in *most* Lilly, but in some items I can wear an xl depending on the cut. I will note if it runs true to size or runs generously. I stick to their cotton items, because they tend to run larger and cover a broader size range. I wanted to walk you through the items that are both curve-friendly and frankly, worth it, right now.

MY FAVORITE CURVE-FRIENDLY PIECES:
FLORIN SILK TANK $64 (originally $118)
Up to XL, I wear the XL, and runs true to size in chest/shoulders, a little flow in midsection. A shift silhouette with a little flow! I wear a soft cup bra with this and it fits great. I ordered this in green earlier this year and LOVED it, and Lilly sent along the pink version which is included in the sale. Excuse the wrinkle – steamer on the fritz! (c/o Lilly)
MARGOT SWING DRESS $50 (originally $108)
Goes up to xxl, in the xl, and this runs a little generous. If in-between size down. If not, get normal size. It ties in the back of the neck, so you can adjust how tight/loose the neckline is. One of my favorite silhouettes of all time, I now have it in a few patterns and I think this pattern might be my favorite! (c/o Lilly)
SKIPPER UPF 50+ POPOVER $65 (originally $98)
Up to xxl, in xxl, and runs true to size for a sweatshirt style, but is generous if you want a more fitted look. I have a little bit of room here, I fluctuate between an xl and xxl, you can see I have some room in the arms and midsection since I went with xxl. If you take away ONE ITEM FROM THIS, let it be the skipper popover. It is truly soft as butter and I can’t survive without mine. So much so, that I included one in my January capsule wardrobe.
TOSHA DRESS $54 (originally $108)
Up to xxl, in xxl, and runs true to size. OKAY, OPHELIA LOVERS! This dress is everything. The swing silhouette is fantastic for curves. I love the boatneck v neckline and subtle bell sleeves. It has a very similar shape to the ophelia, with a nice change in the sleeves and neck. OBSESSED with this one, I feel like a million bucks in it. (c/o)
LUXLETIC LEGGINGS $80 (originally $108)
Up to xxl, wearing xxl, and runs true to size. So soft, high waisted, and a great cut. I think the leggings are great for Lilly lovers at heart who maybe want a more casual way to wear the prints, and aren’t ready to commit to a dress. These are so fun and when we are down at Andrew’s parents’ home in FL, I live in these! (c/o Lilly)
CHRISTIN OFF THE SHOULDER SWEATER $49 (originally $138)
Up to xxl, in the xxl, and runs true to small, if in-between sizes and have broad shoulders, size up. This one is a little less traditional Lilly but I am in LOVE with it! It is so fun, so comfortable and love how it looks with white denim. Up to xxl and I am wearing the xxl here. I have broader shoulders and the xxl is just right. (c/o Lilly)
TATUM FRINGE CARDIGAN (available in different color) $74 (originally $128)
Up to xxl, in the xxl, and runs a little roomy. I am wearing the xxl but definitely should have sized down to an xl here, as I am in-between sizes. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CARDIGAN! My green color is not in the sale, but I think the pink is so fun and classic Lilly. It would look great layered over the pink florin tank (pictured here in green, too) I almost included this in my capsule.
ELSA BLOUSE (available in different print) $75 (originally $158)
Up to xl, in the xl, and runs true to size in chest/shoulders and has flow in the mid-section. I wear the xl comfortably in the Elsa and wear a soft cup bra with it, runs true to size. It looks fabulous with white denim and is something I can throw on and feel great in a pinch. It runs true to size.
BILLIE DRESS (available in different pattern) $42 (originally $98)
Up to xxl, in the xl, and runs a little generous in the body. The Billie is super similar to the Margot in fit and I *LOVE* it! It’s a little roomy but gives a straight, structured look. Great for all figures and for anyone who prefers some room.
KRISTEN DRESS (available in different pattern) $60 (originally $108)
Up to xxl, in the xxl and runs true to size. A nice a-line meets shift silhouette that is not form fitting. The best. A classic for curves. Up to xxl and a FABULOUS shift silhouette meets a-line. I love how easy it is, and the back has a criss-cross detail that’s a cute touch.
