Denim quilted jacket (c/o), Short Sleeve Sweater (c/o), Bag (c/o), Shoes, Scarf, Denim
As you know, we are temporarily living down in Florida. While the Floridian climate is warm and ideal, it has actually been rather chilly and consistently rainy over the last month! But hey, I will take it any day and I am so beyond grateful to be here! Because of this, layers have seriously become my best friend. Right in downtown Vero J. McLaughlin has a flagship store that is such a dream, so I have stopped in a few times for a sweater here or a pullover there. Their February collection is seriously SWOON WORTHY! All the pieces are elegant yet ideal for everyday. What more could we ask for right now?
J. McLaughlin was kind enough to invite me into their store for some safe shopping, and I was so impressed not only by the collection, but also by all the measures put into place to ensure a safe and pleasant experience! All customers must wear masks, use hand sanitizer and keep a safe distance. They also sanitize the dressing rooms and only have one client in them at a time! So, I teamed up with J. McLaughlin to style a look from their February collection, rooted in layers and built around white denim. If you are up north or in a colder climate, you could easily just swap out my sandals for loafers or booties and be on your way! And although I am in Florida, it is safe to say that no matter your climate, white denim has become a year-round staple (and a chic one).
The moment I saw this quilted denim jacket, I knew it would be a practical piece that I would be excited to wear over and over again. It is so soft and cozy, but the diamond detail and fringe trim completely elevate it. I went for a monochrome moment with a light blue, short-sleeved cashmere sweater. It was the detailing on this for me! The cornflower and white neckline stood out to me in the best way possible. I love these pieces together and on their own.
You know J. McLaughlin is my first stop for accessories, always. I featured their Candace coral-handled bag in my Valentine’s Day roundup for ladies and knew it would make it’s way to my closet! This is more summery for sure, but it’s such a great piece that really makes a statement. I have had some of my J. McLaughlin clutches since I was literally in high school, they stand the test of time! I added in their Gemma silk scarf which is absolutely breathtaking (and a fantastic price). It is very large, and you can wrap around your neck several times under a winter coat for a chic scarf moment. Also, can we talk about these Bella sandals?! They are so comfortable and the tortoise buckle makes any outfit.
J. McLaughlin also has lounge wear and some casual activewear, perfect for those cozier days at home. The one thing I love, no matter how you style your pieces, you always remain comfortable while looking elegant and elevated.
