Happy Friday! I’ve never been more ready for the weekend. I’ve had such a busy four or five months with work and things have officially settled down a bit, so this weekend I’m in full relaxation mode! I’m also in the process of stepping back into my day-today ensembles as we prepare for re-entry and eventually being back in an office. That being said, I really learned how much I value comfort in my clothing – I think we all have! Over on Instagram, I have a partnership today with J.Jill, a brand that I’ve worn for ages and love.
When I say they are the EPITOME of comfort meets elevated everyday style, it’s an understatement. Their latest collection is filled with blue and white, easy materials, and chic finishing touches. J.Jill is also size-inclusive, they carry regular, petite, tall and plus. You guys really swooned over my last J.Jill outfit blog post in the Fall, so I figured I would share all the details here too.
EASY AND EFFORTLESS IN A BLUE AND WHITE MAXI
This dress is inspired by blue and white porcelain, so naturally it was an easy pick for me! Something I really appreciate in J.Jill is that they have a solution-oriented thought process when designing their garments. This dress has thicker straps and hooks underneath to hide your bra. The armpit area also offers full coverage so no undergarments peek through! The pockets (yes, pockets!) are a perfect size. They’re large enough so you can put your phone or hands in, but they were constructed without excess fabric, so the pockets stay flush and the front of the dress looks smooth.
I think that this maxi would also look so cute with a jean jacket or with a sweater layered over the top. I can easily see myself wearing this dress with espadrille wedges for date night, out and about in town for errands, or paired with a cardigan at the office. It comes in regular and plus, I opted for the 1x and found that it fit true to size, it’s a bit roomy/flowy in the bodice.
SIMPLE & CHIC IN STRIPES AND LINEN
Tee, pants, shoes, bag (all c/o)
Initially, I was intimidated by these linen sailor crops, but loved them so much I decided to go for it. Honestly, they are one of my favorite pairs of pants I’ve ever worn. I LOVE THEM! Firstly, they are beyond comfortable. They have an elastic waistband in the back and the buttons are functional on one side. They stretch a little bit after you wear them, so I opted for the 1x and they were perfect. With any light linen they are naturally a bit sheer, but I found that with nude undergarments it was not a problem. I can see myself wearing these pants everywhere from the grocery store to the office with a button down. So versatile!
I paired them with a striped tee, and let me tell you, the cotton is unparalleled. The knit is substantial and incredibly soft. I ordered this tee in a few solid colors because the sleeves are a great length (and don’t bunch up). Also wear the 1x here, but also I paired my look with their woven tote and slides. Love this for a cute alternative to stripes and white jeans!
These two outfits are the epitome of easy, breezy summertime. That dress!! I love the fabric inspiration from blue and white porcelain- it harkens one back to tea time in an English garden. The dress is pretty, flattering and simple – 3 ingredients for a go-to article of clothing that can be switched up for many deferent occasions. And I love the sailor pants and striped tee. That truly is an outfit you can wear doing errands, going out to lunch, or the office. Now that life is opening up again, these two J. Jill ensembles will enhance anyone’s wardrobe!! Love it all!!!
