White denim c/o (regular and plus, in 16w) shirt (c/o)
I used to be someone who really only wore white jeans in the Spring and Summer. When the “no white denim after Labor Day,” rule was put to rest, I was hesitant at first. But, once I learned how to wear them in the Winter, they became a year-round staple! I styled a classic white button down with my FAVORITE white skinny jeans (both are included in my January wardrobe capsule). I am also so excited, because today over on Instagram, I am teaming up with three of my girlfriends to share how we style winter creams and whites! You can check our Kirsten, Maggie, and Kate’s looks, too.
I feel like you can wear white denim in the Winter with just about anything you’d pair darker rinse jeans with! For me, the key to styling Winter white jeans is in the texture, color, and accessories I pair them with. I usually style mine with neutrals, soft hues, or rich colors. When they’re paired with brighter or more vibrant colors, to me it translates to Spring and Summer. I also love bringing in pieces more specific to Winter that really tell a seasonal story, like boots. I went for a neutral and monochromatic look with a white button down and warm, textured accessories!
You can swap out my shirt for essentially any sweater or top, too. I added some texture in my headband with a velvet we traditionally wear in colder months, to help tell that winter seasonal story. I brought in more neutrals with my boots (these aren’t in my capsule, as the photos are from last year ), but they are easily subbed out for any boot or loafer. Most of all, when styling white jeans any time of year, bring your confidence. If you own the look and feel your best, you can truly pull off anything!
