Is there anything more classic than a crisp button down shirt or tunic? Nope! I feel the most polished and put together when I am in a timeless oxford, but not all oxfords are created equal. You guys know how much I love Foxcroft, they are without a doubt my go-to source for button down shirts, tunics, and tops (I chatted all about my love for the brand and why in a blog post here). If you are not familiar with Foxcroft, they started over 40 years ago with a mission to craft a timeless, tailored shirt with easy-care technology. They also value all body types, creating lines for straight and extended sizes (something so important!). Foxcroft makes fashion easy through innovative methods, so their products are either wrinkle-free or non-iron, which makes LIFE. SO. EASY.
I especially love their non-iron pinpoint oxford shirts, like the Taylor style I’m wearing, because you can outfit them multiple ways without needing to stress about ironing or refreshing between looks! You just toss one in the dryer and it is ready for continuous wears, staying crisp and polished. At this time of year, with Valentine’s Day and Spring just around the corner, I love to wear my oxfords in one of my most beloved colors on repeat: PINK! (in this case, cloud coral to be exact!). That being said, February is also a transitional month. So, I wanted to share two ways to style a Foxcroft shirt that could work for the pink-themed month surrounding Valentine’s Day, as well as for heading into Spring!
The Taylor non-iron pinpoint oxford shirt easily tucks into pants or jeans, staying crisp and fitted without billowing. The style works well on my body type, the buttons stay flush and the silhouette is fitted while remaining comfortable. I also adore the cuffed sleeves, it feels so old-school preppy without the hassle of having to cuff them myself! For my first look, I styled my Taylor oxford with high-waisted blue jeans and ballet flats, a fun and simplistic look for Valentine’s Day. You can dress this shirt up for date night with fun earrings and dark denim, or wear it to the office with formal pants and you are good to go!
For a more Spring-centric look, I paired my shirt with crisp white denim and loafers. This is perfect for transitioning into months where we tend to wear lighter and brighter colors, it is even great for a warm climate vacation! To create a playful option, I tied the shirt in a simple knot at my hips. I just unbuttoned the bottom button, and double knotted the tails! The shirt itself, as well as the color, are so versatile, that it really goes with just about anything.
I love how the cloud coral is a pop of color that pairs so nicely with a variety of denim- that is not easy to find! In fact, I love the cloud coral color so much that I was over-the-moon to hear it would be included in many of Foxcroft’s new styles in their Spring Lookbook! I cannot express my excitement for this Lookbook, you guys. I just have a feeling my 2020 uniform involves a lot of button downs, so I cannot wait to check out the many new styles Foxcroft will be launching! The Taylor shirt is a Foxcroft mainstay, so you won’t see it in the Lookbook which focuses on so many new and fresh styles, silhouettes, colors, and cuts. The possibilities are truly endless! Whether you want some Valentine’s Day inspiration or are ready for some Spring weather vibes, check out the new Lookbook to get excited. Thank you Foxcroft for sponsoring this post.
Absolutely love all of these looks and you look so cheery and happy! It’s always such a struggle to find that “perfect button-down” without gaping or excessive wrinkling or clunky collars. Thanks for the recommendation and the code! Can’t wait to give them a try!
This is such a pretty look, especially with the white jeans! Major spring vibes!
Love love the Foxcroft looks! The shirt is flattering with a simple sophistication. I especially love the 3/4 length bracelet sleeves and hidden front button placard. Definitely a classic style that I love – especially as shown in Elsa’s 2 looks. I’m already craving the spring pink and white denim scheme. Casual and polished at once. Must invest!
