Dress (up to 40% off with code “gospring“), Slides, Earrings (c/o)
Something that I’ve found helpful when I feel like I’m in a pandemic slump is to try and wear something that sparks joy and go on a walk or get some coffee (it’s the little things!) Even though I am one hundred percent a loungewear person don’t get me wrong, but in this season of unfamiliarity, getting dressed as I normally would, although my day might look different, is a part of my routine that brings familiarity. My wardrobe is casual at it’s core, so it is pretty pandemic friendly overall, but I always like to feel polished. So, when I spotted this dress, I knew it would be a closet staple that would also work for Easter!
I knew this dress would be something I would reach for without hesitation whether I was having a casual day with my hair in a bun or getting ready for a holiday. It’s perfect for Easter this year, being a dress that you can dress up or down depending on your plans (since we’re all still doing holidays a bit differently still). My favorite part about it, is that it feels festive, but is neutral enough that I plan to wear now, and later throughout the Spring and Summer, too! Since we will be here in Florida for Easter, I styled the dress with leather slides and pearl and bamboo earrings. If I were up North, I would have probably just swapped the sandals for ballet flats and carried a wrap.
The fit on the dress is great, the proportions are lovely and I appreciate the longer length. I like that the slip is not as long as the eyelet, so you feel fun while still having enough coverage. I got my normal size 18, however I could have sized down as I found it ran a little roomy in the waist and top area. But, I liked the roomy feel and felt very comfortable in my normal size, so I stuck with it. It depends if you want a fitted look (size down) or a look similar to how it hangs on me (get your normal size).
I’m kinda OBSESSED with this dress since I saw it this morning on your Instagram…and I never wear dresses. Looks so perfect and not fussy and…like you said…dress up…dress down…great post!
This is such a pretty dress on you!!! <3
