I am so excited because one of my favorites, Dudley Stephens, is launching jersey tops and dresses today with their new line, DS Beyond! If you aren’t familiar, Dudley makes the coveted fleece turtlenecks and just about anything fleece you can think of. They focus on sustainable, recycled fabrics and their new jersey collection is no exception. Made with responsible jersey, these pieces are crafted to live in, feel comfortable, but look great. I wanted to share a review of my favorite styles I was able to try ahead of time!
All pieces go up to xxl, I am a 14/16w and wear the xxl comfortably.
THE SCONSET DRESS
This dress is a showstopper! A tunic style maxi dress with an adjustable waistband and pockets. This runs true to size, but without the belt is a little roomy. With the belt, I found it fit perfectly and the cut was so well proportioned. It fit my shoulders so nicely and hit at a great length. With the belt, you can really make this as fitted or as loose as you please! The skirt has just the right amount of fabric where it won’t gather depending on how you tie the belt. I will 100% be living in this dress for the rest of time. I am in the XXL.
THE DEVON SHORT SLEEVE DRESS
A closet staple, this elevated t-shirt dress doesn’t disappoint. This is more fitted than the sconset, but the jersey has a lot of stretch and give. It comes in black and navy (wearing the black here). It is more of a columnar silhouette vs. an a-line, so it was slimmer throughout the bodice and midsection, but I found it ran true to size! The shoulders and chest area were also very comfortable. I like how the neckline is more open as well. I appreciate that the short sleeves aren’t too short, they don’t bunch up in the armpits at all! In the XXL.
THE INDIA BELL SLEEVE TUNIC
I absolutely love this tunic. I find tunics to be so classic and effortless, and this is such a fresh take. The jersey is comfy and stretchy, but you still get structure in the neckline and sleeves. It is also a more feminine, fitted silhouette than a traditional tunic which can feel more oversized at times. I love the length here as well, a little longer in the back for more coverage and it hits at a great spot. I am in the XXL and found it ran true to size but was intentionally a slimmer fit, if in-between and you prefer more room in the bodice, size up!
DEVON SHORT SLEEVE TEE
This is a great everyday tee! This really fits SO well. The shoulders are very comfortable, and the chest and arms make for great proportions. This is a bit more roomy than the tunic, by design. I also appreciate the length here, it looks so polished untucked and has great coverage. It’s the kind of t-shirt you can throw on and feel like you’re in a blouse, but be comfy AF. I found this ran a little generously, which is standard for a t-shirt and I got my normal XXL. If you prefer a fitted t-shirt look, size down!
All styles c/o Dudley Stephens. While this blog post was not sponsored, I had a congruent Instagram post which was sponsored by Dudley Stephens today. As always, all opinions are my own!
The new Dudley Stephens Beyond line is genius!! I love everything….each item is so good looking, and attractive while also practical in its’ fabric and design. I’m having a hard time deciding what to purchase, I may need more than one!!
The Sconset dress looked so good on you that I ordered one for myself. It fits beautifully! I only wish I would have gotten a tunic, but they are sold out. Thank you for the inspiration 🙂 I look forward to your fashion posts!
Thank you so much, Kim! I am SO glad that you got the sconset dress, it is SO GOOD!! They recently restocked the tunics so you should check out if your size is available!
