An Autumn Outing + Outfit -

Earrings (c/o), tunic sweater (regular, petite, plus, tall), denim (c/o), tote bag, booties (c/o), scarf

A friend and I headed to a local farm for a fall pick me up. After a hard couple of weeks, it was exactly what I needed! We were only there about an hour or so, but it was so joyful that it made my week. We pulled up to this little roadside farm, unexpectedly planted in our area. There was an adorable farm stand selling breads, preserves and goodies, as well as a mini pumpkin patch. The best part though, was the animals. Chickens, goats, ducks, and even donkeys! Since we were heading to a farm, I knew I wanted to be cute yet comfortable.

I figured we would potentially be picking up pumpkins or bending over to pet donkeys, so I opted for a tunic sweater over denim. This tunic is so good. The length is super flattering and the knit is warm but lightweight. It comes in a bunch of neutral colors and you can’t beat the price for the quality. I knew it might get a little dusty, and these easy, comfy booties that look super chic are dirt friendly (they are on mega sale, too – for wide feet size up a half). In the spirit of keeping things durable, I brought my camo bean bag. Nothing beats camo in the fall! Especially when you can add a monogram to it. To finish things off, I reached for the ultimate autumnal accessory, and added a plaid scarf. In this case, it’s actually a windowpane scarf, but still!

I actually grew up on a farm and riding horses, and as we were walking, I said “this smell reminds me of my childhood!” Having spent my fair share of time on farms, I knew comfort was key and practicality was paramount. But, who says you can’t have both and still look cute?! A tunic, jeans, boots and a scarf is a zero-stress, always-works-kind-of-outfit. Needless to say, I will have this outfit on rotation for all the outings to come! I can’t wait for more girlfriend adventures exploring New Jersey. If you are able to safely get together with a friend, even for a short period, put something on the calendar! It will fill your heart.
