With Spring right around the corner, Grace and I thought it would be fun to style a shirtdress two ways. No surprise here, we are twinning! I am sure you are familiar with Grace, but just in case you are not, she is a lifestyle blogger from Florida mainly focusing on size-inclusive classic style, family, and home. She is a very eloquent writer and I so enjoy reading her blog, Going by Grace. We always joke that we are dopplegangers and I feel so honored that I even remotely resemble her (she is such a natural beauty inside and out)! Today, we are each sharing two ways to wear our favorite Tuckernuck shirt dress in the Santorini blue pattern (which just sold out in a few sizes), but it comes in so many cute patterns and colors. I have the red floral and the blue stripe for reference!
Before I dive into styling, I will do a quick rundown on the fit! I am in the XL in this dress, so I would say that it runs generously and if you are in-between sizes to size down. If you are broad in the shoulders or large chested, you can try your normal size and if it is too roomy take advantage of their free return policy! One of my favorite things about the brand. The length is great as well, it hits right above the knee and is not a mini dress! Also, this dress now comes up to size XXXL! I am a 16w (sometimes a 14w) and wear their xl/xxl with ease.
I know many of us are in chilly climates right now and a lot of us are in sunnier states as well. So, I think both of these looks can easily be made for colder spring climates with the introduction of a loafer, ballet flat with more coverage, or even a bootie.
