10 J.CREW SIZE-INCLUSIVE BASICS WORTH BUYING

J.Crew is having a pre-Black Friday sale with 50% off full priced items (yes, you heard that right!) So, I wanted to share the core basics in my wardrobe, included in markdowns, that I swear by. All of these pieces are versatile and, in my opinion, worth snagging while on sale. I cannot say enough good things about the below! Code FRIDAY

COCOON COAT : My cocoon is by far and away the best J. Crew purchase I’ve made. It always looks so polished and holds up really well. It is the perfect lined wool coat for late fall and winter. I have shorter arms, so I got the arm length tailored, as I find that with investment pieces you’ll have forever, why not make it perfect for you? I am a 16x and got the 20.

DAPHNE TOPCOAT: I have just as much love for my Daphne as I do my cocoon coat. This topcoat is the *perfect* coat for Fall, or for those Winter days when you want to wear a heavy sweater or fleece underneath. I got the 20 here as well.

SUPERSOFT YARN MOCKNECK: My favorite sweater! It goes with everything and I have it in too many colors. It is called supersoft for a reason. It does not feel like a scratchy wool, but a plush, soft sweater. The mockneck is very flattering, too. I cuff the sleeves due to my short arms and its perfect. I get my normal size xxl here.

SUPERSOFT CROPPED CARDIGAN: I scooped this up in black at the start of the season, and quickly got another in heather mushroom. I found it’s not too cropped at all, and I have a very large chest and long torso. The crop here just feels as though it’s a shorter version of a grandpa cardigan, and looks perfect over jeans. I sized down one to an xl, but if you are concerned about length try your normal size.

CHEVRON SOPHIE SWEATER BLAZER: I waited far too long to get a Sophie sweater blazer. It is so comfortable and looks so elevated. Perfect for zoom meetings at home, because you look tailored but you’re just in a sweater! They definitely run a little roomy, but that is by design. I would recommend your normal size here.

WIDE WOOL HEADBAND: This headband is the freaking best. Comfortable and the neutral colors make it perfect with everything. All I really need to say here.

SATURDAY SNEAKERS: I have to admit – I am not a huge sneaker person. I wear Superegas and Tretorns, and these! They take a while to break in and aren’t a comfort shoe, but they are perfect as a casual sneaker. They go with everything.

CURVY FIT TOOTHPICK JEANS: J. Crew Curvy Fit denim will forever be my favorite jeans. By far and away the best fit I have found for my figure. Curvy fit is not synonymous with plus size, and you can read my full review on the curvy fit jeans here. The Dryden wash is the most versatile hue and great for this time of year. I wear a 34.

RUFFLE NECK TOP: Sometimes I get intimidated by ruffle or high necklines, but this is one of my most-worn tops. It is so adorable and frankly, just so easy. It goes with everything and the poplin is very easy to care for. I got a 2x.

JULIETTE COLLARLESS SWEATER BLAZER: To me, this is less of a blazer and more of a sweater jacket/duster. Its a longer length which I love, and it is super roomy. I wear it over leggings and a t shirt, or with a cami, jeans and heels for date night. Super versatile. I sized down one. *the Juliette is not included in the Black Friday assortment, but it’s on sale and marked down.
